The concept for Nice Guys is not my own. A few years ago, I worked at an e-tailer in Waukesha, Wisconsin USA. The Lead Developer was a guy named Stuart King. Stuart had recently given me some advice about something nice, or, romantic, if you will, that I could do for my wife. Now, a lot of guys have a hard time coming up with different and thoughtful things that they can do for their wife or girlfriend. The kinds of things that would let them know that we think about them and care about them. Something besides, say, flowers or a box of chocolates. Now flowers and chocolates are nice but even the best chocolates become mundane if that’s all we can ever think of doing to show our appreciation. Stuart told me that he thought it would be really cool to start a web site where guys can go to get and share ideas that make that special someone in or lives feel, well, special. I ended up moving about 60 miles north to Sheboygan where my wife and I started a small IT consulting and web development firm. The last I heard, Stuart and his family moved to St. Louis, MO USA. We never kept in touch much after our stint in Waukesha, but that’s how guys usually are. So Stu, here’s the site: Nice Guys.
